WarningSum:...Fire Weather Watch In Effect From Saturday Afternoon Through
Saturday Evening For Gusty Winds And Low Humidity For The Sierra
Front In Western Nevada...Eastern Lassen County...The Surprise
Valley And Northern Washoe County...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Fire Weather
Watch...which is in effect from Saturday afternoon through
Saturday evening.
* Affected area: fire zone 270 Surprise Valley California...
  fire zone 278 eastern Lassen County...fire zone 450 western 
  Nevada Sierra front...fire zone 458 northern Washoe County.
* Wind: increasing to southwest to west 15 to 20 mph with gusts to
  35 mph.
* Humidity: falling to 6 to 12 percent by Saturday afternoon.
* Impacts: the combination of gusty winds and low humidity will
create critical fire weather conditions.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are possible. Check weather.Gov/Reno for updates and possible red
flag warnings.

Local weather data is collected via a Davis Wireless VantagePro2 Weather Station.
The weather station is located at N 39° 02´ 18.8", W 119° 43' 15.9" at an altitude of 4,801 feet ASL.
The Anemometer and Wind Vane are mounted on a tower 27 feet above ground and are clear of all obstructions.The Davis ISS (Integrated Sensor System) gauges for temperature, humidity and rain are mounted on a post 5 feet above the ground and clear of all obstructions and surrounding structures.
The webcam is a Logitech QuickCam® Fusion aimed to the WSW towards the Carson Range.
